Frequently Asked Questions
Q:
Can I purchase calibrated fuel cell to suit and what is the cost?
A:
Andatech no longer provide calibrated fuel cells for purchase. The Calibration procedure is actually performed in house by them, so every 12 months, this unit will need to be sent back to them for calibration. The breathalyser will be sent to their Melbourne office, and a fee of $75 covers the recalibration procedure.
If you would like more information, you can read more about the calibration service on their website here:

Q:
Can the mouth pieces be sterilized and re-used by the same person, and how much are they?
A:
You can certainly sterilize and re-use mouth pieces for this device.
Additional mouthpieces are $54.95 for a pack of 100, which can be found on our website here:

The great thing about the AlcoSense Precision, is that it can also be used without mouthpieces by breathing directly into the hole where the mouthpieces are inserted.

A:
The Calibration would be undertaken by the Manufacturer in Australia (Andatech). They are located in Blackburn, Victoria. Calibration for a Fuel Cell should be done every year and the costs of it would be $35. This should take about 1-2 Weeks.
The only other costs associated with a Breathalyzer would be the Batteries and the Mouth Pieces.
